Nevada Sportsbooks Made $153.2M in Super Bowl Betting Revenue, Much Less Than Last Year’s Record

Nevada sportsbooks made $153.2 million in bets on Sunday’s Super Bowl, which was far less than last year’s record.

However, there’s still hope because next year’s NFL championship game will be held in Las Vegas.

Fewer bets compared to last year:

On Monday, the Gaming Control Board said that “wagers placed on the Kansas City Chiefs’ 38-35 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII were the fourth highest of all time, although $26.6 million below the $179.8 million bet a year ago.”

But when analyzing projections for next year’s Super Bowl that will be held at Allegiant Stadium next February, analysts are confident that a fresh standard will be set for NFL championship betting in Nevada.

All four modern Fallout games catapulted into the most-played games on Steam Deck this past month-

It’s no secret that the Fallout show was a big success, with Amazon saying it was the streaming arm’s biggest hit since The Rings of Power, with 65 million viewers. It’s also no real secret that successful videogame shows make people want to play the games, but it is pretty cool to see how many go and do just that: This month’s little Valve survey of what people are playing on the Steam Deck shows all four modern Fallout games taking a top 20 spot for most-played by playtime.

Fallout 4 takes number two in the top 20, Fallout: New Vegas takes spot seven, Fallout 76 spot 10, and Fallout 3 snuck onto the list in 20th place. Prior to this month, only Fallout 4 had popped up on the list consistently

The whole situation isn’t without precedent or anything: Back when the Witcher TV…

New study claims up to 20% of local doctors in the UK could be using generative AI tools as part of their practice

AI has been a bit weird as of late. It has been used to generate naff images, play Doom, and build the loneliest social media app out there. A potentially great but also potentially worrying use of generative AI has been spotted with General Practitioners (GPs) across the UK, suggesting up to 20% could be using it as part of their practice.

As spotted by ScienceDaily, a paper titled “Generative artificial intelligence in primary care: an online survey of UK general practitioners” has recently polled Doctors.net.uk—an online forum and database for GPs across the UK. Of the 1,006 polled, 205 (20%) reported “using generative AI tools in clinical practice”.

When asked “Have you ever used any of the following to assist you in any aspect of clinical practice?”, 16% reporte…

These Dragon Age- The Veilguard players have done the impossible, making the qunari look nearly as awesome as they did in Dragon Age 2

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare has continued its tradition of making significant changes to the series’ art direction. Between Origins and now, we’ve gone all the way from understated, grounded medieval fantasy to gaudy high fantasy full of arcane technology and floating citadels. The qunari, Dragon Age’s massive horned race, have been the biggest victims of these changes.

Dragon Age 2 was peak qunari. Back in Origins, the qunari didn’t play much of a role, and they weren’t a playable race. Instead we just got Sten, who largely looked like a very buff dude—sans horns. But DA2 gave us a whole army of them, setting up shop in Kirkwall, and they were badasses. Massive, intimidating, all muscles and warpaint with massive horns that gave them a devilish silhouette. This …
